A brief look:  My perspective as a mom and a paediatrician on modern parenting

As both a mother and pediatrician, I see how modern parenting trends can sometimes blur essential boundaries. Here’s a guide to effective parenting:

1. Set Clear Boundaries: Consistent rules and discipline provide children with security and clear expectations.
2. Foster Respect and Responsibility: Teach children to respect elders and involve them in family responsibilities to build accountability.
3. Promote Empathy and Realism: Help children understand and appreciate others’ feelings to prepare them for real-world challenges.

4. Monitor Screen Time: Ensure media content is age-appropriate and educational.

5. Balance Affection with Authority: Be friendly but maintain clear guidance and limits—parents are not meant to be friends but role models and leaders.

Effective parenting blends love with structure, helping children grow into well-rounded individuals.
